Message Boards

A message board is similar to a chat room in many ways. Users sign up for a login and they can then add messages to many different “channels”. The message board is available 24 hours a day. Each channel can be based on a topic, age or discussion. The major difference is that messages are not in real time and all messages are logged. This means that when you browse the channel you can see what one user said yesterday even if they are not currently logged in, and you can leave messages which others can read when they login even if your are not logged in. This is a great feature to have visitors returning commonly to your site and is a great interaction tool. Just as with a chat you would have access to add/close channels and administer users along with blend the message board into your web site design.
